How Meditation changed my life

Di started her journey into healing and life transformation several years ago and has become immersed in the study and practice of healing meditation. She describes the deep healing benefits of exploring the ‘conscious in the present moment’ through her work with meditation practice. 

Di Botha who is now the events coordinator for the Rewire Your Reality Healing events and does work at Center for Healing and Life Transformation in South Africa states that “The value of meditation has been discovering a profound difference in how I think and feel and therefore my state of being since I started meditating regularly. Getting out of the hum drum, endless roll of our endless thoughts a day his important. To stop and settle down, getting your mind into a higher beta state makes all the difference. When you focus your awareness on being fully conscious in the present moment it just slows everything down whilst also cutting out racing thoughts. Calmness in the body is the result as well as a sense of centered and authentic wholeness.” 

The purpose of healing meditation is to slow down your brain waves and get beyond the thinking, analytical mind. When you get into the space of intense relaxation and focus at the same time then you have opened the doorway between the conscious and subconscious mind. Once you get beyond beta brain waves you move to the first layer of the subconscious is the alpha brain state. In alpha states, your breathing naturally slows down, the voice in your head quiets, and the more you continue to relax, the more you begin sliding down the ladder of consciousness into the theta and delta states and even gamma states over time. This is the process of How Meditation changed my life.

When you touch on something divine with all aspects of the physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual self then you open up to new possibilities. You move away from emotional addictions that run deep into your stress hormones. You increase the amount of energy in your brain on purpose, you create something elevated and new. 

Our beliefs and expectations directly affect the conditions of our lives. You too can open the door to your subconscious mind, and begin creating a new healthy and functional template for your life

Daily meditation practice has made a profound change in my life, and it can do the same for everyone else too.

You can train the mind to heal the body and then the body can allow emotions to arise that heal the mind. By working with your body and elevating your emotional state, you can scientifically  become more resistant and more in control of your destiny. Rather than live in the past, we can create our own future. It requires changing some longstanding conditioned beliefs and the willingness to step into an unfamiliar, uncomfortable, unpredictable state that is consistent with living in the unknown. When we exchange self-limiting beliefs we begin to embody new possibilities. Let us practice changing our state of thinking, feeling and being to unwire the mind in certain areas and rewire them in others. This is real change in ecstatic motion that happens in your frontal lobes where stress is not invited. When you access the prefrontal cortex creative change comes. 

Di explains that How Meditation changed my life is because “The work of healing meditations makes me fall in love with the world, I stop feeling that I am in lack and separate from what I need and want. I let go the thoughts of lack and let it all calm and filter through the noise until I get to a place of feeling whole…it is like a smile from deep within your heart that allows me to connect and love the world as all my responses to life challenges are changed.”
