Self-actualization isthe complete realization of one’s potential, and the full development of one’s abilities and appreciation for life. This concept of the traits of self actualisation is at the top of the Maslow hierarchy of needs, so not every human being reaches it.

(definition : noun, Psychology. the achievement of one’s full potential through creativity, independence, spontaneity, and a grasp of the real world).

Abraham Maslow describes the good life as one directed towards self-actualization, the pinnacle need. Self-actualization occurs when you maximize your potential, doing the best that you are capable of doing. Maslow studied individuals whom he believed to be self-actualized, including Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein, to derive the common characteristics of the self-actualized person.
