Being certain in an uncertain world is a paradox with which we are challenged. I believe we are challenged with it on purpose. You don’t have to believe that, and in fact, please don’t believe anything I say at all. Rather, test it for yourself. Jump on it, bend it, question it, and if it works for you, keep it; and if it doesn’t, let it go. We will explore here how certainty is a starting point, a launching pad, that gets us going. It leads us through at least 6 of our most basic needs towards life purpose. Certainty shifts us through uncertainty as we dare to explore love, connection growth and then the spiritual aspects of life that allow us to find our Sacred, most highest, selves. Being Certain about Uncertainty is the work we all need to do to heal and transform our lives. Let me show you how.
For my part, I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream

AT LEAST TWO THINGS ARE REQUIRED OF US IN LIFE: EFFORT & FAITH.
Adam was tasked with work when he “fell” into personality. He could not sit with Sacred Self. He had nothing to contrast it to. He believed a lie. A lie that there was something better – but there was not. Now only the truth will set us free. Many people who are still asleep believe that lies will set them free, but if you’re this far into your Paradigm Shift, you can see through that lie.

Adam & Eve in the garden with the snake, the trickster, is a story of a Paradigm shift. I do not care much whether it is true or not in terms of whether there was an Adam or if this is a parable about an Adam. I know my thinking is not capable of understanding either. This is the faith part of the 2 requirements we are speaking about. It is the uncertainty, mystery, and the veiled that is slowly unfolding for us and the whole of creation at the same time. All I do understand is that this Fall & Fear story is based in Love and re-connection, revealing and re-order out of dis-order. From personality back to Spirituality, from grace and innocence to distrust, fear, and drama, with eyes wide open.
To be uncertain is to be uncomfortable, but to be certain is to be ridiculous.
Socrates
The archetypal Creation story reveals paradise until “the eyes of both of them were opened.” They then saw a split universe of suspicion, subterfuge, doubt, and alienation. “They realized that they were naked” and separate from Source. The naked aspect was a disturbing awareness of their fragility. On their own, there was no protection. They became self conscious of their failings, inadequacies, and lacks. What a lie it was and still is. It is a lie only because there is no separation to begin with – only the very real idea of separation. But I am convinced nothing separates. I have never seen separation last. That which is real does not change. This is the science of truth. It is the research and evidence we crave.
When we are about 8 years old (a significant number if you turn it on its side), most of us have “left the garden” and have begun to live largely in our minds—looking over at paradise which is separate from us in our minds. Once we existed in unitive consciousness. Using our imagination and theta brain waves almost exclusively to create a garden paradise. Then, we give in, fall, or separate, and we believe the lie. We are all believers until we question ourselves. Until we question our thoughts – this is what we are doing here today, and it is leading us back to Love, back to the garden.

We’ve learned at our Depression clinic through experience time after time, on how we get out of (recover, transcend, overcome) these eccentric, victim, actor insurgents is by now allowing the Eccentric insurgent’s masks to no longer run the roost unquestioned. We are to:
– Concentrate more on connection. Connect to people to build strong relationships.
– Work on some things with others, in a team and not always alone.
– Unleash your true Sacred Self that is not afraid to take risks, lean into uncertainty, or do it anyway when indecision comes knocking.
– Effort is how we traverse Uncertainty – we do something and then hopefully get a positive benefit.
– Certainty is faith.
In conclusion let us remember that certainty gives us control. Or at the very least, a sense of it. It is how we overcome separation, fear, drama, and distrust by leaping into this life headfirst. Even though we will experience ‘death,’ we best start to understand what we have probably always deeply known in the soul – that everything is infinite – with no certainty provided, it must be experienced through this faith.
Contemplate this… Isn’t pursuing truth and certainty the same thing? I suggest absolutely not. There is far more to life than certainty and the known and the scientifically proven. Remember that very little is actually proven. Is butter or margarine the best for you? How do you cure the common cold? Why do people search for new rock bottoms? Is the earth flat? Some people still can’t decide.
Our 6 Basic Human needs summarised
Certainty is just our first, most basic, yet most basal and important need of all. Without certainty we cannot easily grow, be creative or contribute in life. The 6 Human Needs is by far, in my opinion, the greatest strategy for living a fulfilled life. The concept of basic human needs was first birthed by Sigmund Freud, noted and contributed to by several psychologists over the years, and most famously pulled together by Brooklyn-born American psychologist Abraham Maslow (1908-1970). He proposed six basic human needs. We need the first four needs: certainty, variety, love and significance for human survival. Growth and contribution are needed for human fulfilment but not everyone seeks them out. The first 4 are needs of the personality and the last two are needs of your spiritual self.
The quest for certainty blocks the search for meaning. Uncertainty is the very condition to impel man to unfold his powers.
Erich Fromm
